| The 22nd session of the 21st Century Talks, organized by UNESCO's Division of Foresight, Philosophy and Human Sciences and the UNESCO Centre in Catalunya, |
will be held in Barcelona's World Trade Centre Auditorium from 11 30 a.m. - 1 30 p.m. on the above theme. It will take place a few hours before the official opening of the 14th International AIDS Conference, also in Barcelona (July 7- 12).
The session will feature three speakers: Professor Luc Montagnier, the French scientist who co-discovered the AIDS virus and is president of the World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention, Mrs Awa Marie Coll-Seck, Senegal's Minister of Preventive Action and Health, and Peter Piot, executive director of the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS. The meeting will be opened by Antonio Campos Muños, head of the Spanish health and consumption ministry's Carlos III Institute of Health.
