Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology
The symposium will consist of a day of plenary papers presenting some of the world's foremost research on stream ecology in urbanized catchments, followed by a day of contributed papers.

The symposium will bring together leading aquatic ecologists and urban waterway managers from around the world :
1. Bring together and synthesize current knowledge of the effects of urban land-use on stream ecosystems
2. Examine priorities and potential for stream restoration in urban catchments
3. Identify knowledge gaps to direct future ecological research in urban catchments.
